The Social dinner will be held at Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal, in the Salone del Ridotto, on Thursday, September 26.

Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal, overlooking the Grand Canal, is in one of Venice's most charming and atmospheric areas. Close to St Mark’s Square, Hotel Monaco has majestic views of the Church of Santa Maria della Salute and the island of San Giorgio.

Since 1638 the building hosted the first "Ridotto Pubblico", a place to which nobility and people from all walks of life would retire for pleasure and intrigue.

The exquisite Halls of the Ridotto and the special events that took place here, have ensured to this venue a main role in Venetian history and can take guests back to the times of Giacomo Casanova’s Serenissima in a magical evocative atmosphere.

Intesa Sanpaolo wanted this authentic treasure of art and history to remain in the city, available to the public, in a new exhibition section designed by the architect Michele De Lucchi. The rooms boast a wonderful view over the rooftops of Venice and the church of Santa Maria Formosa. Here, the guests could see Venetian works of art from the 16th to the 20th Century, including artworks by Canaletto, Domenico Tintoretto, Giambattista Tiepolo and Arturo Martini. After the visit, there will be a cocktail in the secret garden restored by the great architect Carlo Scarpa.
