The Santa Margherita Auditorium, which was completely renovated in 1994 by the Ca' Foscari University of Venice, is today one of the city's most beautiful and efficient conference centres. The renovation works were performed in order to preserve its unique internal 'theatre-style' configuration by maintaining the architectural outlines of a hall that was once a place of worship and that during the last century was converted into a hall for theatre and other events. The Santa Margherita Auditorium has been adequately fitted out to support microphone systems, audio and video recordings, overhead projectors and screens and two simultaneous translation booths. The Auditorium building also has smaller rooms for informal discussion, a public phone and terminals for connecting to Internet for e-mail.

The Conference will be held at the Auditorium Santa Margherita, next to Campo S. Margherita, one of the most attractive small squares in Venice.
The building is very close (10-15 minutes walking) to the two access points of Venice: Piazzale Roma Car Terminal and the Railway Station (Stazione F.S. Venezia S. Lucia).
It is also near the waterbus stops of San Tomà and Ca' Rezzonico. The Santa Margherita Auditorium also has a docking area on a side canal, so it may also be reached by private boat.
